Stratus Helicopters is NOW OPEN at our new tour location in Newport, KY on Riverboat Row just west of BB Riverboats and directly across the river from the Great American Ballpark where the Cincinnati Red's play.  Hours of operation will be Thursday thru Sunday 10am to 10pm (weather permitting) unless there is a schedule Red's home game and then no flights will be permitted for 1 hour before till 1 hour after the ball game due to FAA Regulations.  Walk ups are welcome and are first-come-first-serve.  Reservations may only be made for tours longer than 6 minutes.  Tours starting at just $25 per person!

Stratus Helicopters gets approval from the city of Newport for a helicopter tour location on Riverboat Row on the Newport levee.  Stratus signed a lease agreement with the city for the use of the land.  Two 20' x 20' concrete heli pads will be poured along with a ticket sales building will be constructed.  Tours prices are expected to start at $20 to $25 per passenger and up.  The tour location is set at the James Taylor Park just west of B&B RIverboats dock, directly across from the American Ballpark.  Tours will have to be suspended during the Cincinnati Red's home games due to FAA flight restrictions during major sporting events.  Click here to read the article in the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Stratus Helicopters signs two year contract to provide powerline patrols and emergency support services for an electric cooperative in Kentucky.  With the use of helicopters, utility companies can cover a larger geographical area to pinpoint trouble spots with less manpower thus allowing personnel to respond more quickly and returning service to customers faster.
Stratus has recently been listed as an approved vendor / supplier with all the electric cooperatives in the state of Kentucky.
